Room 19 Animal Habitat Research
Room 19 has been busy exploring the fascinating world of animals and their habitats.
To help us deepen our understanding, we invited some senior students to join us as expert helpers. Together, we researched a variety of animals and recorded important information about where they live, what they eat, and interesting facts about our animals. With all this new knowledge, we’re now ready to write reports on our chosen animals.
Thank you to the senior students for their help!

The Kauri team had ‘Miss Earth’ speak to us on Friday last week.
She spoke about Habitat Conservation, which followed on from our concept learning last term around The Living World.
It also linked nicely with the Zero Waste sessions we had this term.
Miss Earth NZ taught us why we need to actively protect habitats and 9 different ways we can help do this, such as sustainable fishing and picking up rubbish.
It was awesome to hear from someone so educated and passionate about protecting our environment.
