Our Year 3 and 4 students impressed everyone at our recent speech competition with their confident delivery, clear ideas, and passionate voices.
Each speaker presented a unique perspective, making the event truly engaging. The standard of the speeches was incredibly high, which made it challenging for our judges to choose the finalists.
Congratulations to all the students who participated—your hard work and courage shone through.

Kōwhai Team's Science Exploration
This term, the Kōwhai Team has been diving into the world of science, exploring the big question: "How can we use science to ask questions, test ideas, and discover how the world works?"
Each PC group has rotated through three hands-on sessions focused on flight and gliders, acids and bases, and dissolving.
During these sessions, students have followed the scientific process—posing questions, conducting experiments, and explaining their thinking like true scientists.
One highlight was the acids and bases rotation, where our children tested the acidity of various substances and learned about the chemicals involved.
It’s been fantastic to see the students so engaged and enthusiastic about their learning around science.

Report an Absence
It is very important that you notify us when your child will be absent.
There are a couple of ways you can do this:
- Our School App
- Phone - 07 889-7780 (option 1) & leave a message
Did you know you can send absentee notifications quickly & easily to us through the Hero app? This is the simplest & fastest way to let us know when your child will be absent from school.
For safety reasons, you must notify us if your child will be away from school. It also saves the office staff a lot of time following up.
