Enrolment Scheme at David Street School
Our current enrolment zone is changing as of January 29 2024
The implementation of enrolment zones is legislated by government.
You will be aware, from our previous postings, that the Ministry of Education has reviewed and allocated new enrolment zones for all Morrinsville state schools.
|
The purpose of enrolment zones is to:
|
- protect a school from overcrowding
- guarantee enrolment for families who live within a school zone
- ensure that spaces for out of zone enrolments are allocated in a fair and transparent
manner.
Students who wish to be enrolled at David Street School will be enrolled if they live within the
David Street School zone.
Out of zone siblings of current students enrolled at David Street School will have a protected enrolment status.
In the unlikely event of out of zone enrolments being available, then these will be advertised
though the newsletter and in the local paper.

Note: We are required by the Ministry of Education to obtain proof of address such as a utility bill (e.g phone, power, rates or tenancy agreement) as part of the enrolment process.
|

We will endeavour to get tickets ordered online out to you within a week, and most importantly before show week.

Tickets are selling fast and we have a limit per show. If you have not ordered your tickets please do so now.

Information and Sibling order forms (on the back of the information sheet) will be coming home with all children next week on Monday 4 September. If you are having a sibling photo taken please get the orders back to the office by the following Monday 11 September in time for the photos.

Online Ordering of Photos
Photolife will be emailing the Access Key out to our school families as they did last year.
Access Keys are individual codes you can use to order your child’s photos online.
As this requires us to share information with Photolife, can you please let us know by Monday next week 4 September, if you are not happy for us to share your email address with Photolife.
|
|
Photolife have stated that they will only use it to send out the Access Key and one email reminder to place an order. After that they will delete your email address.
|
|
|

Livestock Day Entries Due Next Week
Reminder entries and payment for Livestock day are due by next week on Tuesday the 5th September. No late entries are allowed. Livestock Day is being held on Tuesday 17th October at David Street School.
|
Moving animals to a school Pet Day / Livestock Day
|
When you move animals to a school pet day, it's a good idea to record movement to and from the school in NAIT.
|
|
Our school NAIT number for livestock day is 12907281.
|

|
To be eligible to enter, students and animals must have attended and received a ribbon at the Combined Schools Livestock Day on Tuesday 17 October.

BestStart Morrinsville Transition to School
|
BestStart Morrinsville have been enjoying visits to our New Entrant Classroom recently as part of their 'Transition to School Programme'. It has been a wonderful time for our newest students to reconnect with some of their previous ECE Teachers and for their children who will be off to school shortly to visit David Street School and discover what school life is all about'.
