Information and Sibling order forms will be coming home with all children over the next couple of weeks.

If you are having a sibling photo taken please return the forms to the office by Monday 9 September in time for the photo day.

Online Ordering of Photos
Photolife will email Access Key codes to our school families as they did last year.
Access Key codes are individual codes to order your child’s photos online.
This requires us to share your email addresses with Photolife.
|
Please let us know by Friday 6 September next week if you are not happy for us to share your email address with Photolife.
|
|
Photolife has stated they will only use it to send access codes and one email reminder to place an order. After that, they will delete your email address.
|

Kapa haka Photos Information
|
Photolife will be taking a photo of our school's Kapa Haka Performance Group.
|
Photos of our Junior, Middle, and Senior groups (this includes everyone in kapa haka) will be taken at a later date as we did last year. These photos will be more relaxed.
|
Information for the Performance Group Kapa Haka Friday 6 September:
|
- Children are required to be in the hall at 8.30 am to get changed into kapa haka uniforms.
- Long hair needs to be tied back, braids are optional and can be done at home before the photo. We will not be braiding hair at school.
- Boys need to wear either black undies, shorts, or skins to be worn under their uniform.
- Taonga/Cultural necklaces may be worn. No bright dangly earrings, please.

Kowhai Team Production: Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits—We Need Your Help!
|
|
The Kowhai Team is gearing up for our production of Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits, and we could use a little help gathering some items.
|
- Coathangers (Donations)
- Non-valuable jewellery (glittery beads, bangles, brooches—donate or borrow)
- Roman sandals (Please label them so we can return them)
- Fez hats, skull caps, or prayer caps (Please label them for return)
|
If you have any of these items, please drop them off with the Kowhai Team.
|
|
Just let us know if you’d like your items returned or if you’re happy for us to keep them.
|
|

Give yourself a break from making lunches on Fridays and order your child's lunch from Mrs E's Kitchen! Friday Lunches are available on non-Pizza Lunch Days and are delivered to your child's classroom in time for Lunch. A variety of yummy options are available.

Order Deadline: Order by 6 pm on the Wednesday before Friday lunch

Firewise Learning with Firefighter Michelle
|
|
This week the Junior team were lucky to welcome Michelle, a firefighter, who taught us about being Firewise.
|
|
She discussed the importance of creating a "safe meeting place" with whānau in case of a fire at home. We also practised "Get down, get low, get out'
|
|
We’ll be continuing this important learning as a class over the next few days.
|
|

Celebrating Our New Turf
Last week, we held a special assembly to give our students the opportunity to celebrate the incredible transformation of our old courts.
|
The children are delighted with the new turf and used this occasion to express their gratitude to everyone who made this project a reality. They recognised the tremendous hard work, dedication, and generosity of those who planned, managed, and fundraised for this wonderful space.
|

Home and School Committee: For providing the funding for the final touches that made the turf area truly fabulous, including the shaded area, goals, nets, and the four square court. A special thank you to our parents for supporting the Home and School fundraising efforts by purchasing pizzas, ice blocks, raffle tickets, hot cross buns, and more.

We would also like to thank the local businesses who worked on the project at discounted rates. These include Hunt Building Ltd for constructing the new seating, and DR Trim for making the shade sails.

Yummy Sticker Collection

We are collecting Yummy fruit stickers again this year so we can claim some FREE sports gear for our school!

The more stickers we collect, the more sports gear we can get. So start collecting!
|
|
Pop your stickers or labels onto the sticker charts that went home with children this week, then send your full sticker sheets along to the school office.
|
|

Livestock Day Reminders
If any students have Livestock Day trophies and Group Day trophies from last year please return to the school office as soon as possible.
If your child is attending Livestock Day and has not completed an entry form they can collect one from Whaea Ash in Room 17.
